Huntington Lake has 7 Forest Service Campgrounds around its shores and several more in the vicinity. Each site by the lake accommodates a maximum of 6 people. All of these campgrounds have reservations available.

The campgrounds are usually open from June through October. Two group campgrounds are found nearby. Camping fees increase $2 during holiday weekends.

Dispersed camping is allowed throughout most of the Sierra National Forest, but not near developed areas. Campfire permits and information are available at the Eastwood Visitor Center at the north end of the lake.

Additional Sierra National Forest Offices are located in Prather (right on Highway 168) and at the High Sierra Visitor Information Station on Kaiser Pass Road, 16 miles northeast of Huntington Lake.

Several RV Parks are available at Huntington Lake.
