Folsom Lake Marina

Folsom Lake Marina is the only marina on Folsom Lake. It is located at Browns Ravine off Green Valley Road at the south end of the lake, in the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area.

Food and Supplies: Granite Bay, Beal's Point, and Brown's Ravine (Folsom Lake Marina)

Restrooms: Folsom Lake has floating restrooms at Granite Bay and up the South Fork of the American River at New York Creek Inlet. There are also restroom facilities at Folsom Lake Marina, Beal's Point, Granite Bay, Folsom Point, Peninsula Campground, Skunk Hollow, and Rattlesnake Bar.

Boat Camping

Boaters are allowed to stay overnight in their boats as long as they have a self-contained sanitation and grey water system. Boats must have sleeping accommodations for all persons aboard the boat. Special mooring locations are designated by the Park for overnight camping in your boat.

Boat-In Camping on shore is only allowed at Peninsula Campground. For more information about camping by boat, see Folsom Lake Camping.

Past Lessons and Camps at Folsom Lake:

  • Personal Water Craft "Jet Ski' Class 3 hour classroom, 3 hours practical operation on Folsom Lake, All ages 12 and up (ages 12-16 must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Jet Ski Camp: Ages 12 - 18, 5-day camp, 4 days of Jet Skiing on Folsom Lake
  • Water Ski and Wakeboarding Camp: For ages 8-18 of all ability levels, Ski and Wakeboard all day at Folsom, Week-long Camp
  • Power Boating Class: Basic safe boating operations, turns, anchoring, landing, docking; 9 hours, ages 12 and up
  • Trailering Clinic: Mechanics of trailering, backing, ramp etiquette, maneuvering; 3 hours, ages 16 and up

Folsom Lake Yacht Club

Organized in 1956, Folsom Lake Yacht Club has been promoting sailing activities at Folsom Lake for more than 50 years.

The club sponsors a full calendar of sailing events during the year, including the Camellia Cup Regatta, the Trans-Folsom Regatta, and the Single-handed Regatta.
