Camping among the Pines at Bass Lake

Bass Lake is owned by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company, but much of the surrounding land is part of the Sierra National Forest. A number of well-maintained and popular Forest Service Campgrounds are located along the southwestern shore of the lake.

Summer Interpretive Programs are offered at the lake. Also, Bass Lake is a great place for day hikes. Nearby are the Way of the Mono Interpretative Trail, along with Willow Creek, Goat Mountain and Spring Cove trails.

Bass Lake holds an annual 4th of July Fireworks show and several arts and crafts shows. The Smokey Bear 10k and 2-Mile Fun Run and Walk is usually held in late September.
