The Trinity National Forest abounds with great camping locations. Campgrounds can be found along the shores of Trinity Lake and nearby. Some are fully developed campgrounds with boat ramps and swim beaches, others are more primitive, lacking piped water. A number of boat-in campsites are found around the lake. Some campsites can be reserved, while a good number are first-come, first-served.
A few campgrounds are open year round, although some with limited services.
