East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) conducts boat inspections prior to launching. This includes both a boat history and a physical inspection.

Lake Camanche Boating Regulations

  • Hours of Operation: Personal Watercraft may only be operated between sunrise and sunset. All other boats may operate one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.
  • Speed Limit: Boats must observe a 5 MPH speed limit and create no wake within 200 feet of the shoreline, a fishing dock, marina, swim area, or any floating station
  • Above the Narrows: Reduced speed limit in the portion of the lake above the narrows; no waterskiing, wakeboarding, etc. No Personal Watercraft.
