The only lodging available at Lake Thoma A. Edison is at the rustic and popular Vermilion Valley Resort. Another choice for those seeking accommodations is Mono Hot Springs which offers cabins and tent cabins.
Back across on the west side of Kaiser Pass many accommodations are found around Huntington Lake and at Shaver Lake. Both are popular resort areas with a variety of accommodation choices.

Ferry Shuttle: June - September, Departs Resort at 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, 30 minutes to east end of lake;
Departs east end of lake at 9:45 AM and 4:45 PM; $13 one way, $23 round trip. Times vary during periods of low water.
Shuttle to Fresno: A shuttle van can carry up to 5 passengers and their gear to or from Fresno. They can also connect to Mono Hot Springs and Florence Lake. Basic cost to Fresno for 2 passengers is $195, additional passengers $37.50 ($307.50 max. for 5 passengers)
Message Board: Allows solo hikers to find other hikers who need transportation and to split the cost. Message Board
Hiker Barrels: Hikers with extra food or supplies donate to the barrel, those in need take what they want.
Hiker Tent Cabin: Share a dormitory-style tent cabin $15 per night. Or backpackers can pitch their own tents in the free camping area.
Communications: Internet and VOIP (Phone via Internet). AT&T cellular coverage usually works from the beach.
Showers and Laundry: Showers with towels provided $6.50 (free for those renting rooms) , Laundry $6.50 a load, including the soap.
