New Bullards Bar Fishing

New Bullards Bar Reservoir has year-round fishing for a variety of species, especially Kokanee salmon. Both large and smallmouth bass populate the lake along with spotted bass, but don't expect any trophy-size bass out of Bullards Bar. Eagle Lake Rainbow trout are planted in the lake every year. Brown trout, bluegill, crappie, and catfish also make Bullards Bar their home.

Where to Fish on New Bullards Bar Reservoir

For Kokanee salmon anglers like to fish Mill Creek Cove, around Frenchy Point, the Willow Creek inlet, and close to the dam. Other good locations include Dark Day Canyon inlet and along the west shore across from garden Point.

Bass fishermen usually work the mouths of the creeks and around the rocky points. Good spots include Little Oregon Creek, Burnt Bridge Creek inlet, Tractor Cove, and up the north arm of the lake. Catfish and bluegills are found at the heads of coves and around the dock areas.
