Big Bear Camping

Big Bear Lake draws many visitors from the greater Los Angeles area and beyond. The town of Big Bear Lake is located on the southern side of the lake and the entire southern shoreline is fairly developed. The northern shore has more open space, picnic areas and camping.

The only lakeside National Forest campground is Serrano Campground on the north shore. Several other family campgrounds are nearby, along with a good number of group campgrounds. Holiday rates are $2 more per night.
